Lauren Von Dehsen – A6

My intent was to make a geared down hand turned system that controlled a piston. My arduino came in by hooking up a light sensor to the end of the piston and allowing it to rotate over a light. So when the sensor came near the red light, the green light (output light) would flash brighter.

The only problem is the gears. I found out/ kind of had a feeling, that it would be hard to make gears with perfect fitting teeth. But in this case the gears worked acceptably before the parts were assembled and then terribly after. In the future, just buy the gears if you need them!
