1. The Tangible Sequencer, by Jefferey Traer Bernstein (2007).  The individual pieces are programmed with a specific sound via software, which can be changed.  After playing its sound, each box can activate the next box to play its sound using an infrared light signal.  These are directional and will continue until the chain is broken.

2. Ibar is a product made for bar surfaces.  It seems most intended for locations where people want to meet and network because the objects placed on the surface not only illuminate that spot on the surface but also cause illuminated connections to other objects in close proximity.
