Blendie here is another MIT project – a voice activated Blender.  Users growl at it and it blends. And this video is a little creepy.

Then there’s the Tenori-On.  This thing (created by Toshio Iwai of Elektro Plankton fame) is what the Monome wants to be – an actual interactive instrument rather than simply a controller.

If I ever have way too much cash, this is one of the first things I’m picking up.  For more details look here.
